Our History
The club was first established in 1983 by a small group of young investors and has since grown to be the largest club on campus.
Our fund was officially created from the generous donation of $25,000 from Mr. Cameron S. Marshman, in honour of his wife. Mr. Marshman’s wish was to educate and foster the next generation of investors at Western University by giving them a chance to invest real capital. Since then, we have managed it with a value investing philosophy.
Since, that donation has grown more than 700%.

WIC has demonstrated a consistent ability to help prepare its members ahead of recruiting. WIC Analysts have started their careers at leading institutions including Blackstone, Evercore, Goldman Sachs, Moelis & Co., and Silver Lake Partners. The club prides itself on the active involvement of its alumni who continue to help current members break into the industry.
